Dr. Oppenheimer attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Ohio State University. He received post-graduate oral medicine training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. After leaving the service, he remained in the nation’s capital, where he was a founding partner in an eleven doctor dental office. He practiced in New York City before moving to the Hudson Valley where he has practiced since 2002. He has also acquired his certification in Medical Acupuncture for Physicians from the Helms Institute at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine in Los Angeles. Dr. Oppenheimer is an American Dental Association member, a member of the New York State Dental Association, the 3rd District Dental Society and the International Academy of Mini Dental Implants.

Dr. Irina joined Oppenheimer Dentistry after practicing in her solo practice in Ft. Lee, NJ for ten years. A general dentist highly skilled in both restorative and surgical dentistry, Dr. Irina is also experienced in mini and traditional dental implants.
Dr. Irina received her Bachelor of Arts from Hunter College, New York City, and received her DMD degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (currently Rutgers School of Dental Medicine). She completed her General Dentistry Residency at Montefiore Medical Center, New York City.

Replacing a single tooth with a single tooth implant does not endanger the health of the neighboring teeth. Because a dental implant will replace your tooth root, the bone is better preserved. Dental implants integrate with your jawbone, helping to keep the bone healthy and intact.
Several missing teeth can also be replaced with individual implants. With this method, a dental implant will be placed at the site of each missing tooth, providing ideal replicas of your lost teeth. Multiple teeth may also be restored with an implant bridge, which is a prosthetic comprised of three or more crown units, depending upon the number of missing teeth.
One of the most rewarding and exciting new procedures in dentistry today is the system for making loose dentures tight and comfortable. Mini dental implants provide denture patients with the ability to eat, smile and speak with confidence. In as little as 1 hour, 4-6 dental implants can be placed and your dentures can be fitted over the implants. The patient leaves the office with stable dentures that can be used IMMEDIATELY.
In addition, placement of these implants results in little to no post operative discomfort. Many patients who were not candidates for conventional implants because they didn’t have enough bone or because of finances are now mini dental implant candidates.
Made of Hybrid Resin or Zirconia, the removable bridge involves placement of between 6-10 implants, determined by bone volume and bone quality. This is a fixed hybrid bridge that can be detached by the dentist as needed at recall cleaning visits.
The Fixed Roundhouse Zirconia Bridge involves placement of between 10-12 implants, determined by the bone volume and bone quality. The final bridge is tried in for patient comfort and aesthetic approval and then cemented in place. You no longer need to worry about your teeth moving or falling out because this is a cemented zirconia bridge.
